3.6 mag Earthquake in Guwahati on 25th Feb 2021.

On 25th February 2021, Thursday in the evening at around 10:33pm (GMT +5:30) light mag 3.6  Earthquake tremors were felt near Guwahati in Assam and in nearby areas, at a depth of 30.0km on Richter scale, the National centre for Seismology(NCS) reported . 

National centre for Seismology (NCS) is an agency run by our Indian government in order to monitor the earthquake activities. The agency provides 24/7 round the clock services throughout the country.

At around 31km east of Guwahati in Kamrup district, was the epicenter according to the centre . 

People ran out of their house in panic when the earthquake struck, but there was loss of life or damage of property was reported immediately.
