In recent days some of the other matters concerning China have become gossip and controversy. With continuation to this, China this time stuck into Article 370 controversy. This time China started complaining about military infrastructure at Ladakh and this made it standoff India in late August 2019. The top global experts announced based on long-term analysis the satellite imagery along with LAC (Line of Actual).
Chris Biggers, Sushant Singh, the director of mission applications at the radio frequency geospatial intelligence firm Hawkeye 360, had given their statement in the interview of the India Cable. They noted the important points of Galway, Gogra, and Pangong Tso, the Chinese forces continued to remain “near the border at their previous turnaround and throughout the Galway valley and east of Kong Ka La” as reported by the Wire website.
Along the LAC of Ladakh, India and China has continued their combat in a military stand-off at multiple points in eastern states. They have been in combat since late May 2020. India has claimed that China has amassed India’s manpower and equipment by violating the military agreements, this caused several clashes by Indian military forces and thus they were not allowed on its regular patrols by Chinese soldiers. One of the serious clashes which took place in June 2020 at Galway valley, where 20 Indian soldiers died. According to a Chinese official statement, there were 4 Chinese soldiers who died. Since then both the countries are into a high tension zone and also into diplomatic and military negotiations that led to their disengagement on several issues. The Chinese refused to talk about disengagement at Depsang plains.
The earlier intelligence officer of the US national Geospatial- intelligence agency, Bigger said that there is a visible asymmetry between the Indian and Chinese forces and the speed with which they appeared at the border was instructive. These indifferences will be attributed to advance planning. This suggestion was given by a commercial collection of the Wire website. China had started preparations from mid-2019. The thesis states that the medium resolution imagery suggested that the military-related infrastructure near the border in August 2019 had lent the weightage to speculation of India’s Article 370. The decision had sparked the standoff of the subsequent requirement on different defensive postures against India. The statement was given by Bigger.
