After Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata,Bangalore & Chennai, Hyderabad is planning to shut Schools & colleges from 8th Jan 2022.

 

In the wake of rising  Covid-19 and Omicron cases various states and cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Punjab, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad have decided to close educational institutions.

After witnessing a surge in the Covid cases, Delhi was the first amongst all the states to announce the closure of all schools in the city from 3rd January 2022 until further orders from the government. While schools are closed in Mumbai till 31st of this month.

Last Sunday, the West Bengal government declared a lockdown from 3rd January 2022.The closure of schools, colleges and educational institutions was ordered. An order was passed for government and private offices to operate only with 50 per cent occupancy and remaining to work from home.

On Wednesday, the Karnataka government declared the shut down of schools and colleges in Bangalore from 6th January. Except 10th and 12th All other classes are expected to run only in the online mode for two weeks. Strict Covid restrictions are being followed and weekend curfew will be implemented.

Similarly even in Uttar Pradesh all schools up to class 10th will remain closed till 15 January, 2022. Followed by Jharkhand and Punjab. 

Due to cold waves schools are closed in Patna till 8th January,2022. While in Tamil Nadu till 10th of January, 2022 the schools  will remain closed for class 1 to 8.

Telangana government has also declared to close all the educational institutions from 8th to 15th January, 2022. The Chief minister K .Chandra Shekhar Rao, mentioned that the government would tackle the pandemic situation effectively and people need not panic about it.

Amid rising numbers of fresh coronavirus cases the state governments are taking necessary measures to reduce the outspread of deadly viruses. Hope their efforts will be fruitful.
