Tamil nadu and Telangana government extended holidays for all educational institutions due to spike in Covid cases

The major cities of India are experiencing a surge in Covid and Omicron cases every single day. It is observed that a huge number of children are victims of this killer virus world wide. In concern to this issue, the government of India had imposed various Covid restrictions already.

Earlier this month, many states had ordered closure of schools and educational institutions to stop the spread of the virus. After witnessing the rise in fresh cases, Delhi, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Gujarat and Haryana government have decided to shutdown the educational institutions till mid of next month (February).

Previously, the Telangana government had declared holidays from 8th January till 16th January for all the educational Institutions. But now, amid the increasing cases, the government has decided to extend the holidays for all education institutions (private, aided and government institutions, except medical colleges) till 30th January.

Even the Tamil nadu government has declared a holiday till 31st January for all school students including class 10th, 11th and 12th.
