On October 4, Tuesday Reliance Jio announced a trial launch of 5G services in 4 cities. On the felicitous occasion of Vijayadashami (Dussehra) on October 5, Wednesday the telecom operators rolled out the 5G services in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi.They also mentioned the Jio 5G Welcome offer under which the users will get unlimited 5G data with up to 1gbps + speed. During the current beta trials of Jio 5G services not everyone will be able to avail Jio 5G network benefits.
Now you might wonder how to avail the welcome offer ?
For jio 5G smartphones users living in the specified cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Varanasi) there will be an automatic upgrade to the Jio 5G Welcome Offer and only these customers can enjoy the unlimited offer for free, no additional amount will be charged for 5G data until the announcement of any 5G plans. So, they will have to hold on to their existing 4G data plan.

Back then they announced the Welcome Offer under which all their customers were able to make use of the 4G data services for free until the launch of official plans.
