Artificial intelligence is a real danger ? Elon Musk says, AI will outrun our ability to safely manage it.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) involves a combination of computer science robust datasets which can troubleshoot our problems. Now the question is whether it is a boon or  bane? Though AI acts as a problem solver there are some disadvantages associated with it. Of course, technology has both pros and cons just like two sides of a coin.

The billionaire Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, Tesla and Twitter is worried about Artificial Intelligence and says, “It is something we should be concerned about” on Tesla’s investor day which happened last week .

Business Magnet called AI quite dangerous than nuclear warheads at South by Southwest conference Austin, CNBC reported. Musk believes that AI needs to be regulated in order to make sure it operates within the public interest.

While Elon Musk is concerned about the artificial intelligence development, Billgates opinion is right opposite to what Musk believes. According to Bill Gates, there is no threat from AI. Even Mark Zuckerberg mentioned that Elon Musk’s doomsday AI scenarios are unnecessary and irresponsible. Musk’s tactics have received criticism by Steven Pinker who is a Professor at Harvard.

Elon Musk thinks artificial intelligence is the rare case where we need to be proactive in regulations. As per his opinion, the major issue lies with the AI experts which tends to plague smart people. He is concerned that AI development would outrun our skills to manage it securely.

Musk is worried about AI based on his knowledge about machine intelligence and its development as he is so close to cutting edge in AI. Therefore considering his warning about Artificial Intelligence development and the need to regulate seems extremely important.
