Maulana Tariq Jamil is a renowned islamic scholar it is very shocking to know that his dearest son Asim Jamil committed suicide. On 29th October, Asim shot himself in Punjab’s Talamba located in Pakistan. He was shot in his chest and when he was rushed to the hospital, the authorities declared him dead. Maulana Tariq Jamil announced his son Asim Jamil’s demise on his official social media platform. After conveying the news of the loss, he also mentioned the time and place of Asim’s funeral.
Yusuf Jamil, brother of Asim Jamil, came up with a video on social media, stating his brother suffered from extreme depression for a long period and was undergoing treatment for the same. When Asim was home alone, he grabbed the gun from one of their guards and shot himself in the chest. Yusuf emphatically refused any suggestions of enmity leading to the shooting. He confirmed that it is a clear incident of suicide and not murder.
