9 & 11 year old girl Raped in BJP ruled states Uttar Pradesh & Assam.

In a harrowing series of events, two separate cases of child rape have come to light, sending shockwaves through the communities of Assam and Uttar Pradesh both BJP ruled states. The first incident unfolded in Assam’s Cachar district, where a 47-year-old man stands accused of raping his 9-year-old neighbor on multiple occasions over the past three weeks. Simultaneously, an 11-year-old Dalit girl in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly raped by her neighbor, leaving her in a critical condition.

Assam’s Disturbing Case: The accused in the Assam case was swiftly arrested by authorities from a location near his house following the filing of a first information report (FIR) by the victim’s family. The family reported that the heinous acts occurred over a three-week period, with the minor girl being subjected to sexual assault on at least three occasions. The accused is set to face charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (Pocso) and 376 AB (rape of a minor under twelve years of age).  The girl’s father recounted that the perpetrator initially lured the child to his house on November 8, committing the first act of rape. The trauma continued on November 10 and 12, with threats to the girl’s life preventing her from disclosing the crimes to her parents. However, the child’s deteriorating health eventually led to the revelation of the horrific incidents during medical treatment.  Angry residents in the area staged a protest demanding stringent punishment for the accused, who will be presented before the local court on Tuesday. The case has triggered outrage and emphasizes the urgent need for effective measures to protect children from such atrocities.

UP- Agra’s Tragic Incident: In Uttar Pradesh’s Agra district, an 11-year-old Dalit girl faced a horrifying ordeal at the hands of her neighbor, leaving her in a critical condition. The incident occurred in the Etmaddulah area when the accused lured the minor girl to an abandoned house and allegedly raped her. The girl, covered in blood, reached her home and narrated the traumatic incident to her family.  The police swiftly launched an investigation, leading to the apprehension of the accused, who has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO), and the SC/ST Act. The victim revealed that she had been molested by the accused on two prior occasions but had not reported it out of fear.  Both cases underscore the urgent need for community vigilance, timely reporting of such incidents, and the swift implementation of justice to ensure the safety and well-being of children. These distressing incidents serve as a stark reminder of the collective responsibility to protect the most vulnerable members of society from the scourge of child abuse.
