Maharashtra: Shiv Sena Leader Anand Adsul Alleges Betrayal by BJP, Threatens Legal Action Over Navneet Rana’s Caste Certificate

Shiv Sena leader Anand Adsul has accused the BJP of failing to deliver on a promised governor’s appointment and has announced a 15-day ultimatum. Should the BJP not meet his expectations within this period, Adsul intends to challenge the validity of Navneet Rana’s caste certificate. Rana, who lost in the Amravati constituency as a BJP candidate, has become a focal point of this dispute.

Adsul, who served as Minister of State in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee administration and represented the Amravati Lok Sabha seat in 2009 and 2014, voiced his frustration publicly.

Statement from Anand Adsul:

“I was assured the position of governor by Home Minister Amit Shah. I will wait for another 15 days; if no action is taken, I will initiate a legal challenge against Navneet Rana’s caste validity certificate,” Adsul stated to the press.

In response, MLA Ravi Rana, Navneet Rana’s husband, dismissed Adsul’s remarks, suggesting that Adsul may be unwell and in need of medical attention, which he offered to cover. Meanwhile, Cpt Abhijeet Adsul, Anand Adsul’s son, has also expressed dissatisfaction over his father’s exclusion from the governor’s post.
