A viral video falsely claiming Hindu genocide in Bangladesh is actually from a student protest.

A recent tweet by the account @JaipurDialogues on X (formerly Twitter) falsely claimed that Hindu women in Bangladesh are being raped and killed, implying a genocide against Hindus. The tweet included a video intended to incite fear and anger, but it has been exposed as misinformation.

Fact-checker Mohammed Zubair debunked the claim, explaining that the video, dated March 17, actually shows a silent protest at Jagannath University in Dhaka, where students were demanding justice for Fairuz Abantika, a fellow student who had tragically taken her own life. The video was part of a peaceful demonstration, not related to any violence against Hindus.

@JaipurDialogues, known for spreading misleading and inflammatory content, has a history of posting false claims designed to stir communal tensions. This incident is yet another example of the disinformation propagated by the account.
