Air India Staff Attacked in London Hotel: ‘Dragged and Assaulted with Clothes Hanger’

An Air India cabin crew member was reportedly assaulted by an intruder earlier this week at London’s Radisson Red Hotel, near Heathrow Airport. The incident occurred late Thursday night while Air India staff from multiple flights were staying at the hotel.

According to sources, the crew member was asleep when the intruder entered her room around 1:30 am. She woke up to find the intruder attacking her with a clothes hanger. As she screamed for help, the assailant dragged her across the floor as she attempted to reach the door. The assailant was eventually apprehended and handed over to the authorities.

The victim sustained bruises during the attack and was treated at a hospital before being sent back to Mumbai. A colleague stayed behind to support her. Air India, in a statement, expressed deep concern over the incident, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to the safety and wellbeing of its crew members. The airline is working closely with local police and the hotel management to ensure the incident is fully investigated and measures are put in place to prevent such occurrences in the future. Air India also urged respect for the privacy of those involved as they navigate this difficult time.
