Hindu organization backs Trump instead of Harris in the U.S. Presidential race, citing his strong support for India.

Hindus for America First, a recently established grassroots organization, has officially endorsed Republican candidate Donald Trump for the U.S. presidential election and launched a campaign against Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris in key battleground states such as Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina. The group’s chairman and founder, Utsav Sanduja, announced the endorsement on Thursday, expressing concerns that Harris could harm Indo-US relations if she became president.

Sanduja argued that Harris might appoint liberal judges to the Supreme Court, potentially reversing decisions that affect Asian-American voters. He also criticized the Biden-Harris administration for failing to secure the U.S. border, claiming that Harris, as vice president, did not address the influx of illegal immigrants, which has led to record crime and drug smuggling, affecting minority communities, including Asian-American business owners.

In contrast, Sanduja praised Trump for advocating a more merit-based immigration system and strengthening defense and technology cooperation with India. He noted Trump’s strong relationship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his commitment to projects that help India stand against China.

According to Sanduja, Trump has consistently shown his support for India, unlike Harris, who he claimed made negative comments about the Indian government and people. He emphasized that Trump has respected India’s sovereignty, while Harris could destabilize Indo-US relations.

The organization is mobilizing Hindu communities in battleground states like Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Nevada to campaign against Harris. Sanduja also voiced concern over the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh, urging political leaders to address the issue. He credited Trump for recognizing the persecution of Hindus in countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan, noting that Trump played a key role in acknowledging the Hindu genocide.
