Israeli airstrikes on Gaza have resulted in the deaths of nine Palestinians.

In a recent Israeli airstrike on Jabalia, a town in the northern Gaza Strip, at least nine Palestinians have been killed and several others injured. The attack targeted the home of Dr. Akram al-Najjar of Al-Quds Open University, located on Gaza Street. Among those killed were three children and two women, while additional injuries were reported in nearby residences.

The strike has led to significant destruction, with civil defense teams still actively working to locate and rescue individuals who may be trapped beneath the rubble of the targeted house and surrounding buildings. The injured and deceased have been transported to the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza for treatment.

The incident has not yet elicited a response from Israeli authorities. This airstrike is part of the broader conflict between Israel and Hamas, which has seen a dramatic escalation since October 7, 2023, when a Hamas attack on the southern Israeli border resulted in approximately 1,200 deaths and over 250 hostages taken. According to local health authorities, the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza have brought the Palestinian death toll to 41,020.
