A viral video showing female students consuming beer at a government school in Chhattisgarh has sparked an investigation.

Trouble has arisen for a group of teenagers who were filmed drinking beer at a government school in Chhattisgarh. A video circulating on social media shows several female students consuming beer inside the Government Higher Secondary School in Bhatchaura village, Bilaspur district. The footage, recorded on July 29, has led education authorities to initiate an investigation.

According to PTI, the video depicts the students drinking beer along with soft drinks. TR Sahu, the District Education Officer of Bilaspur, confirmed that a three-member committee has been set up to investigate the incident. The committee has already interviewed students and teachers.

The students have claimed that they only pretended to drink beer while making the video for fun and did not actually consume the alcohol. Sahu stated that disciplinary action will be taken against the principal and the head of the institution to prevent such occurrences in the future. Additionally, notices will be sent to the students’ parents.

The video is believed to have been taken during a birthday celebration held in a classroom, where the students allegedly drank beer. One of the students later shared the video and photos on social media, leading to the ongoing probe.
