Viral Sensation: Rat Visits Ganesh Pandal in Mira-Bhayander, Prays with Folded Hands Before Nibbling on Modak

At a Ganesh pandal in Mira-Bhayander, a remarkable event has captured the attention of social media users: a rat was seen engaging in a unique act of devotion. The rat, known as Lord Ganesha’s vahana (vehicle), was recorded on video appearing to pray before the idol of Ganpati Bappa. In a touching display, the rat was seen standing at the feet of the deity, folding its hands in reverence, before making its way to enjoy a modak prasad offered at the pandal.

The video, originating from the Sai Samarpan Cha Raja pandal, shows the rat approaching the stage where Lord Ganesha’s idol is situated. It captures the rat bowing before the idol and then taking a piece of the prasad. The footage was shared by the pandal’s official Instagram page and has since gone viral, amassing over nine million views for the prayer segment and about one lakh views for the modak-eating clip.

Reactions to the video have been overwhelmingly positive. Many viewers expressed their admiration for the rat’s respectful behavior, with comments praising the gesture and reflecting on the broader theme of respecting all creatures. One comment highlighted the contrast between the reverence shown to the rat during the festival and the common disregard for it outside of these times, urging people to value every animal consistently.
