Viral Audio Clip Reveals Alleged Money Distribution by Congress During Lok Sabha Polls in Karnataka

An audio clip has recently surfaced, sparking controversy in Karnataka, with claims of money being distributed during the Lok Sabha elections by the Congress party. The clip allegedly features a conversation discussing financial contributions from various leaders, including a Congress candidate and a former MLC, meant to influence voters.

In the clip, a voice reportedly states, “Money should be distributed as directed by the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. Congress candidate Shreyas Patel will contribute ₹5 crore, former MLC Gopalaswamy will provide ₹1 crore, and I will give ₹1 crore. A total of ₹7 crore should be distributed.”

Further, the audio reveals a plan to pay ₹500 per vote, targeting around 68% to 70% of the population, ensuring that supporters are paid while anticipating that the opposition will secure only 30% of the votes. This recording has gone viral, raising concerns about electoral malpractice and potential voter manipulation.

The Congress party is yet to respond officially to the allegations.
