The iconic Golden Chariot Luxury Train is set to make a grand comeback, offering travelers a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Operated by Indian Railways and IRCTC, this seven-star hotel on wheels promises to combine opulence, cultural heritage, and unparalleled comfort. The train is now accepting bookings for select dates between December and March, with the first journey commencing on December 14.

The Golden Chariot is designed to showcase Karnataka’s rich cultural heritage while offering state-of-the-art amenities. With a capacity of 80 passengers across 40 luxurious cabins, it offers various options, including 13 double-bed cabins, 26 twin-bed cabins, and a specially designed cabin for passengers with disabilities. Every cabin is air-conditioned and equipped with modern features such as Wi-Fi, TVs with access to OTT platforms, plush beds, padded furnishings, and luxurious bathrooms, ensuring a royal experience for travelers. The addition of a saloon enhances the comfort and elegance of the journey.

Onboard dining is a delightful affair with two exquisite restaurants, Ruchi and Nalapak, serving a wide array of Indian and international cuisines. Guests can savor both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes prepared with the utmost care, using international-standard cutlery and tableware. The train also boasts a fully stocked bar that serves branded liquor, wine, and beer, providing the perfect complement to the sumptuous meals.

For relaxation and wellness, the train features the Arogya Spa, offering a variety of therapies and treatments. Additionally, fitness enthusiasts can maintain their routine at the train’s state-of-the-art gym. The entire train is monitored by CCTV cameras and equipped with a fire alarm system, ensuring a safe and secure journey for all passengers.

The six-day, five-night journey offers an immersive exploration of some of India’s most iconic destinations. Starting from Bengaluru, the itinerary includes stops at Bandipur, Mysore, Halebidu, Chikmagalur, Hampi, and Goa, before returning to Bengaluru. Another route takes travelers from Bengaluru to Mysore, Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Thanjavur, Chettinad, Cochin, Cherthala, and back to Bengaluru. Each stop is thoughtfully curated to highlight the region’s rich cultural and historical significance.

The ticket fare for this lavish journey is Rs 4,00,530 plus 5% GST, which includes accommodation, meals, drinks, sightseeing tickets, and guided tours. With such an all-inclusive package, passengers can indulge in the luxury without worrying about additional costs.
