Megastar Chiranjeevi Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at UK’s House of Commons

Renowned Indian actor Chiranjeevi has added another prestigious accolade to his illustrious career by receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Public Service through Cultural Leadership. The honor was presented by Bridge India at the UK’s House of Commons on March 19, recognizing his remarkable contributions to cinema and philanthropy.

Taking to social media, Chiranjeevi shared his heartfelt gratitude, posting pictures from London and expressing his deep appreciation for the recognition. He acknowledged the presence of esteemed Members of Parliament, Ministers, Under Secretaries, and Diplomats at the event and thanked Bridge India for bestowing him with this distinguished honor. The veteran actor conveyed his heartfelt thanks to his fans, family, and well-wishers, crediting them for supporting him throughout his journey.

Chiranjeevi’s philanthropic endeavors have long been an inspiration. His Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust (CCT), established in 1998, has significantly contributed to society with its blood bank and eye bank. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his organization expanded its efforts, setting up oxygen banks and providing ambulances in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to aid those in need.

His brother, actor and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan, shared an emotional tribute on social media, expressing his admiration for Chiranjeevi. He recounted their journey, praising his elder brother for his dedication and unparalleled influence in the film industry. Pawan Kalyan, who considers Chiranjeevi more of a father figure than an elder brother, highlighted his legacy of excellence, having won nine Filmfare Awards and three Nandi Awards for his performances over four and a half decades.

Chiranjeevi’s influence extends beyond films, earning him India’s second-highest civilian honor, the Padma Vibhushan, in 2024. He was also recognized by Guinness World Records as the Most Prolific Actor-Dancer. His continued commitment to humanitarian causes, coupled with his legendary film career, has cemented his legacy as a true icon.

This prestigious recognition at the UK Parliament stands as a testament to Chiranjeevi’s extraordinary contributions to both the entertainment industry and society. As he expressed in his acceptance speech, this award serves as motivation to continue his work with renewed passion.
