A unique and innovative Secretariat Complex with 34 domes was inaugurated by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the youngest state (Telangana). The function was made remarkable by the vedic chants and traditional rituals on 30th April.
Bouquets were presented by Ministers, leaders and senior officials of Bharat Rashtra Samithi to honor KCR on this special occasion. Many public representatives and ministers bowed their heads to touch Chief Minister KCR’s feet.
Mr.Rao inaugurated one of the largest Secretariat complexes in the country, the seven floor building was constructed on 7 lakh sq ft area at a cost of ₹ 650 crores, it is referred as one of the important event of KCR’s administration and was marked by varieties of extraordinary events along with the opening of the highest tricolor flag, the largest lift irrigation project in the world, the tallest statue of Dr.BR Ambedkar and this is one of the biggest tribute to the Telangana martyrs.
When the idea of building a grand Secretariat complex was proposed to replace one of the oldest construction by Andhra sovereigns, the Chief Minister gave a justification that, the richest state like Telangana deserves a grandeur administrative complex to match its wealth. He said that this is one of the rarest lifetime opportunities to construct this grand Secretariat Complex and this journey of Telangana continues with Ambedkar’s message along with the way in which Mahatma Gandhi followed.
His viewers considered this as one of the mega plans to reshape the identity of Telangana state by breaking away the dominating culture of Andhra from the past six decades.
The inauguration function of the Secretarial building and the entry of KCR into his chamber was based on astrology and numerology. The Chief Minister’s arrival was scheduled at 1pm on Sunday, specific pujas were performed in the early morning and the unveiling ceremony was fixed at midday. KCR occupied his chair in the sixth floor, as his lucky number was six and later the formal inauguration was started, this building was named as the ‘White house of Telangana’.
KCR used to hate the Administrative building in Andhra, he claimed that it was not built according to the Vastu. So, his visits to the old Secretariat building became very less, now the new building is being constructed with perfect Vastu and named as ‘Pragathi Bhavan’.
The Chief Minister KCR said that the nine districts of Telangana state were considered under the category of backward districts due to the old Planning Commission but now after the introduction of NITI Aayog there isn’t any village as progressive as the Telangana state.
