In the upcoming Telangana elections 30th Nov 2023, will a 166 kilometer car rally in Hyderabad help the BJP?

In a final push ahead of the Telangana Assembly polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana has announced a colossal 166 km long roadshow set to take place on November 27, Monday. The roadshow, covering 24 constituencies in and around Hyderabad, will feature none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This grand event marks the culmination of the party’s election campaign, as November 27 is the last day for campaigning as per the Model Code of Conduct issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The BJP has strategically chosen a route that spans key constituencies in Hyderabad and the state, aiming to bolster the party’s electoral prospects. The roadshow is scheduled to commence in Musheerabad and traverse through important constituencies such as Sanathnagar, Secunderabad, Secunderabad Cantonment, Malakpet, Yakatpura, Bahadurpura, Chandrayangutta, L B Nagar, Maheshwaram, Malkajgiri, Quthbullapur, Kukatpally, Uppal, Medchal, Amberpet, Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, Nampally, Karwan, Serlingampally, Charminar, Rajendranagar, and conclude in Goshamahal.

The party has outlined the Prime Minister’s participation in the roadshow, detailing that it will kick off from RTC X roads, proceeding through Narayanguda and YMCA Kacheguda junctions, and culminating at the Veer Savarkar statue in Kacheguda. Prominent Telangana BJP leaders, including state BJP chief G Kishan Reddy, BJP OBC morcha chief K Laxman, and other senior figures, are expected to accompany Prime Minister Modi during this extensive roadshow.

While the BJP aims to generate significant momentum and support through this high-profile event, concerns have been raised about potential disruptions to commuters as the massive election roadshow navigates through the city’s roads. The roadshow is part of the BJP’s concerted efforts to make a lasting impression on voters ahead of the polling day on November 30. The counting of votes is scheduled for December 3, and the outcome of these elections will undoubtedly shape the political landscape in Telangana.
