On Wednesday, the leader’s of INDIA i.e Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance told that they have various options for the face of Prime Minister and stated that the BJP which has only one. The next day after the two-day Mumbai meeting started on Thursday, Shiv Sena (UBT), the NCP and the Congress which were the host parties negotiated in a press conference saying that 28 parties will be attending and for the second meeting at Bengaluru 26 opposition parties were a part of it.
“Our ideologies may differ, but we’re focused on the same thing”,says former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Uddhav Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena (UBT). Sharad Pawar, NCP supremo and former Union minister, said that they may target different key decisions in the third meeting.
It was also told by Pawar that various substitutes will be implemented to bring changes in politics from the opposition union.
“BJP’s choice to become Prime Minister for nine years has been questionable. For the PM post, India has a number of choices. What did the BJP get to choose from?” says Uddhav Thackeray, when they questioned him about his multiple claims to the Prime Minister’s post. While Nana Patole, the Chief of Maharashtra Congress stated that when they got to know the INDIA alliance meeting is going to be held in Maharashtra they felt very happy and they were 26 parties in Bengaluru and here in Maharashtra they will be 28 parties, ‘jaise INDIA badhega, waise hi China peeche hatega’.
Ashok Chavan was the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and also the Congress leader told that things will be taken forward after negotiating about the agenda in the meeting and he also stated that, “We’re all working together to defend democracy, we’re fighting against the BJP.” “Right from the independence struggle where Maharashtra is led, our duty is to protect India and it will play a key role now as well.”We are questioning on various issues like inflation, unemployment etc., it is only a fight to save the nation and this doesn’t include any personal disputes, and the public knows about it, he added.
Uddhav Thackeray questioned focusing on the Raksha Bandhan gifts, where the central government is reducing the LPG prices in the name of Rakhi gifts. “It’s totally a trick because, for almost nine years India didn’t have any Raksha Bandhan gifts, and this is the effect of two INDIA meetings as they literally distributed it for free to gain power, by calling it a LPG price reduction and they are playing a gimmick”, says Thackeray.
On Tuesday evening, for the opposition bloc other personnel also arrived like West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and his father and Lalu Prasad Yadav the chief of RJD. They were received at the city airport by leader Aaditya Thackeray of Shiv Sena (UBT) and various other members of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) including NCP and Congress. Apart from them leader’s from southern states joined them on Wednesday evening.
