Indigo placed an order of 500 new planes to expand it’s reach in Europe in partnership with Turkish Airline

Indigo airline known for the low fare and high volume of air passengers has announced plans to expand its air travel journey towards European economies, Indigo sales head said in an interview with ANI News that they are in partnership with Turkish Airline. To reach European countries, the number of airlines needs to be increased and to achieve this goal, the company decided to order 500 new aircraft and  Since Airbus & Boeing are the world’s largest manufacturer of planes, the order went to Airbus and Boeing. This announcement came into existence when the TATA group owned Air India made a deal for 470 new aircrafts.

With this partnership Indigo airline can carry passengers to Turkey’s important airport Istanbul and it will be the gateway for Indigo to enter into other European tourist destinations such as Switzerland, United Kingdom, France, Italy etc. At present Indigo is carrying foreign passengers with only 10 percent of its flight flying abroad and remaining 90% of the flights are flying domestically with the domestic passengers.

This announcement will be termed as a remarkable move after Air India. It will connect the international market and boost demand for tourism, cargo, business, etc, which will be fruitful for India and other European nations.
