Israel Strikes Maghazi Refugee Camp in Gaza After Recent Bombing leading to 50 Civilians death.

The Israel-Hamas conflict has strained diplomatic relations between Israel and several countries due to the humanitarian crisis. Bolivia severed diplomatic ties with Israel, and Bahrain temporarily cut economic ties. Several airlines suspended flights to Tel Aviv. The conflict has resulted in significant casualties and a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

As the conflict between Israel and Hamas approaches its one-month mark, the Israeli Army continued its intensive bombardment of Gaza, particularly in the northern region.

Israel attacked Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza on Saturday night, around 40 Palestinians were killed, including women and children. Many others sustained injuries. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) continued their bombings throughout Saturday night and intensified attacks in the northern Gaza Strip. These assaults also resulted in the destruction of several residential houses. Israel’s ground forces maintained their attacks targeting Hamas in Gaza.  Simultaneously, the United States declared its active pursuit of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza to facilitate humanitarian assistance.

According to the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza, the total Palestinian casualties in the territory have now surpassed 9,400 as the assault continues. In the West Bank region, nearly 150 people have been killed in clashes between Israel and Hamas.

The Israeli military announced on Sunday that it had discovered a network of Hamas tunnels, command centers, and rocket launchers located underneath and near hospitals in northern Gaza. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, Israel’s chief military spokesperson, stated that “Hamas systematically uses hospitals as part of its war operations.” In response, Hamas denies these allegations and accuses Israel of spreading false information. Hagari presented videos, photos, and audio recordings during a media briefing, which he claimed demonstrated Hamas’ strategy of using hospitals as shields and obstructing civilians from leaving conflict zones.

Former US President Barack Obama, while discussing the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel, condemned the act as “horrific” and stated that there was no justification for it. He also emphasized the need for acknowledging the complexity of the situation, recognizing both the gravity of the attacks and the difficult conditions faced by Palestinians due to the occupation.

As per Reuters report, The Palestinian telecommunications company, Paltel PALTEL.PL, reported on Sunday that communication and internet services in the Gaza Strip have been disrupted once more. They mentioned that the primary routes that had been restored were disconnected again, this time from the Israeli side.
