Income Tax officials recently conducted raids at the Hyderabad residences and offices of both “Pushpa 2” director Sukumar and prominent producer Dil Raju, who is behind the recent blockbuster “Game Changer.” These raids have sparked considerable discussion, especially in light of ongoing debates surrounding inflated box office figures within the film industry.
The IT department’s actions involved early morning searches at both locations, focusing on financial records such as bank details, transactions, and secured lockers. Sukumar, who was at Hyderabad airport at the time of the raid, was escorted back to his residence by IT officials. Over two days, the Hindi version is said to have grossed ₹20.81 crore, with the total weekend gross reaching ₹32.05 crore and a net collection of ₹26.59 crore.
