JEE Main 2025 Day 1 Shift 2 Ends: Candidate Reactions and Paper Difficulty Revealed

JEE Main 2025: Shift 2 of Day 1 Concludes, Candidate Reactions Start Pouring In

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 is underway, with the first day of exams completed in two shifts. The second shift of the BE/BTech (paper 1) examination commenced at 3:00 PM and ended at 6:00 PM today. This critical exam, which is one of the most competitive tests in India, has drawn lakhs of aspirants aiming for admission to prestigious engineering institutes like the IITs, NITs, and IIITs.

Earlier in the day, candidates in cities like Patna who appeared for the first shift shared mixed reactions about the exam. Many reported that the physics section was notably challenging compared to mathematics and chemistry. Overall, the paper was rated ‘moderate’ in difficulty level.

The JEE Main 2025 schedule spans over multiple days. Paper 1 (BE/BTech) is set for January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, while paper 2 (BArch and BPlanning) will be conducted on January 30. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released admit cards for the first three examination days, which are available for download on the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Candidates were advised to adhere to the reporting time mentioned on their admit cards and to carefully follow all exam day instructions, including the prescribed dress code. The importance of arriving on time at the designated exam centres cannot be overstated, as latecomers are not permitted to enter under any circumstances.

For the smooth conduct of the examination, candidates were reminded to carry essential documents. These include a printed copy of the JEE Main 2025 admit card (all pages, preferably colour printouts on A4-size paper), a recent photograph matching the one used in their application form, and a valid original photo ID, such as Aadhaar, passport, or voter ID. Any additional documents specified in the instructions should also be brought along.

It’s crucial for students to take note of items permitted inside the exam hall. Non-essential personal belongings, electronic gadgets, or prohibited items should be left at home, as some centres may lack facilities for safekeeping personal items. Aspirants were advised to make their own arrangements for securing such belongings.

As the exam progresses over the scheduled days, candidates will continue to share their experiences and analyses of the question papers. Today’s response sets the stage for similar feedback in upcoming shifts, helping future aspirants prepare mentally and manage their time effectively.

JEE Main 2025 continues to be a gateway to success for numerous engineering aspirants, and its significance in shaping academic futures remains unparalleled. Stay tuned for more updates, detailed paper analyses, and expert insights into this year’s examination.
