Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing him as an “incredible student” who is eager to learn about technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI). During a roundtable conference in New York, Huang expressed his admiration for Modi’s dedication to understanding the potential of AI for India.
Huang emphasized that this is a pivotal moment for India and urged businesses to seize the opportunity. “This is India’s moment. You have to seize the opportunity,” he said, underscoring Nvidia’s interest in partnering with India in the field of AI. He highlighted that India is home to some of the world’s top computer scientists, making it an ideal partner in this emerging industry.
Reflecting on his meetings with PM Modi, Huang said, “Every time I meet him, he wants to learn more about technology and AI, exploring how it can benefit India’s society and industry.” He reiterated his commitment to collaborating with India, noting that AI represents a new and crucial industry that offers significant potential for economic and technological growth.
Huang also praised India’s thriving startup ecosystem, stating, “India has the third-largest startup economy in the world. This new generation of startups is increasingly AI-driven, and to support this, robust AI infrastructure is essential. We have numerous partnerships across India to facilitate this growth.”
With India poised to play a major role in the global AI landscape, Huang expressed optimism about deepening Nvidia’s collaboration with the country to foster innovation and technological advancement.
