ONDC, a digital platform designed by the government of India to create equal opportunities to all the operators in the market, it facilitates the direct association with the restaurants and the consumers while eliminating the intermediaries and aggregators like Swiggy, Zomato and others who deal with the food orders.
This platform has been accepted by a large number of people especially for the reasonable prices when compared to any other competitors.
Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) is not just restricted to food deliveries, But by using this platform, customers can place dozens of orders like home decor, groceries and so on. This platform acts similar to blinkit, Zepto and others.
As per the review, Swiggy and Zomato charges a huge commission of 25-30% for delivering food from the restaurants. But, ONDC demands only 2-5% commission and thus allows the operators of restaurants to provide much better deals to their customers.
