Police Raid Mujra Party at Hyderabad Farmhouse, Seize Drugs and Liquor, 21 Detained

In a major crackdown on illegal activities, the Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT) conducted a late-night raid at a farmhouse in Moinabad, located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, uncovering a high-profile ‘mujra party’ involving drugs, liquor, and alleged obscene performances. Acting on credible intelligence, the SOT raided the property and detained 21 individuals, including seven women and 14 men, for participating in the unauthorized gathering. Authorities confirmed that 70 grams of marijuana and several liquor bottles were seized from the scene, raising serious concerns about the rising trend of drug-fueled parties in the region.

The raid revealed that the event was organized covertly and drew participants from various areas, sparking a new wave of vigilance among law enforcement officials. A case has been officially registered at the Moinabad Police Station, and police have intensified efforts to identify and apprehend the main organizers and those who facilitated the logistics of the party. The police believe that the event was not a standalone occurrence and are investigating whether it is part of a larger network involved in orchestrating such illicit gatherings across Hyderabad and nearby areas.

This latest operation follows a similar incident in October last year, when the Hyderabad Police raided the TOS pub in the upscale Banjara Hills locality after receiving a tip-off about ongoing illegal activities. In that high-profile bust, 140 people were arrested, including 42 women, for allegedly being involved in obscene dance performances. The police stated that the pub had hired women from different states specifically to engage in provocative dances aimed at attracting male patrons and increasing revenue. Among those arrested were the pub manager, cashier, and DJ operator, all of whom were charged with facilitating and promoting obscene activities.

These repeated incidents underline a growing concern about the increasing number of secret parties and events being held under the guise of social gatherings, but which in reality involve illegal substances and performances. Law enforcement agencies have reiterated their commitment to cracking down on such activities and have urged the public to report suspicious gatherings. Officials also emphasized that strict action will be taken against those who attempt to commercialize obscenity or endanger public safety through the use of narcotics and unlicensed liquor consumption.

The Cyberabad SOT continues its investigation into the Moinabad farmhouse incident, working to dismantle the network behind the event and prevent future occurrences. These operations serve as a stern warning to event organizers and attendees who believe they can evade the law by operating in secrecy.
