Putin demands an Independent state for Palestine?

Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia reasserted his country’s support for the establishment of an independent Palestine state and the execution of pertinent United Nations resolutions during a general session at Russian Energy Week. He also highlighted that Russia’s position on this matter has remained persistent for decades.

Putin stated that they had always advocated the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions by taking into account first and then leading the implementation of an independent Palestinian state. This confirmation of support for a Palestinian state reinforces Russia’s commitment to a political solution for this enduring Israel-Palestine Conflict.

Putin also commented on the prolonged nature of the Israeli-Palestinian war, identifying it as a critical indication of injustice. He emphasized the importance of the Palestinian problem in the broader Middle East area, explaining it as a matter that is close to the hearts of people residing in that region.

With respect to the ongoing conflict in the region, the Russian President expressed his concern about the high level of hostility and the need to reduce civilian fatalities on both sides. He repeated the original vision of establishing separate states that is Israel and Palestine, but noticed that the latter had not yet been created, with part of Palestinian territories remaining under Israeli occupation.

He warned against the expansion of the conflict zone, emphasizing the capability for severe results. He also stated that recent attempts had concentrated on meeting the material needs of the Palestinian people, trying to address economic problems. Meanwhile he addressed that economic aid alone would not be enough to solve the fights. According to Putin, the main political issue is the establishment of a separate Palestine state with Jerusalem as its capital.

However, President Putin’s statements at the Russian Energy Week focused on Russia’s commitment towards the establishment of an independent Palestine state and addressed the political issues and UN resolutions to solve those between Israel and Palestine.
