Telangana’s Ex-CM KCR Hospitalized Due to Farmhouse Fall, Sustains Hairline Fracture.

Ex-Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao sustained a hairline fracture in his hip following a slip and fall at his farmhouse in Erravalli village, Siddipet district on Thursday. His daughter, MLC K Kavitha, mentioned he has a minor hip bone injury and is receiving specialized care. Leaders from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), associated with KCR’s family, reported that the 69-year-old was promptly taken to a private hospital in Secunderabad on Friday.

In a conversation with The Indian Express, KCR’s daughter and Telangana MLC K Kavitha stated, “He experienced a fall last night resulting in a hairline fracture in his hip. His overall health is stable. X-rays and tests are underway, and doctors will decide later today whether surgery is necessary.”

According to a health bulletin from Yashoda Hospital, KCR slipped and fell in his residence’s bathroom. The evaluation, which included CT scans, revealed a left hip fracture (intracapsular Neck of Femur fracture). The prescribed treatment involves a left hip replacement, and the anticipated recovery period for such cases is typically six to eight weeks. The bulletin added that KCR is under continuous observation by a multidisciplinary team, comprising orthopedic, anesthesia, general medicine, and pain medicine specialists. His overall condition remains stable.

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to closely monitor KCR’s health and provide regular updates on his condition. Acting on the CM’s guidance, officials visited KCR, inquired about his well-being, and urged doctors to ensure he receives optimal treatment. KCR had relocated to his farmhouse after his party’s defeat to the Congress in the November 30 Assembly elections. Following his resignation submitted to Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, he vacated the residence and office where he had resided for the past nine years. In recent days, KCR had been holding meetings with party leaders at the farmhouse.

The Congress secured victory with 64 out of 119 seats, displacing the BRS, which could only secure 39 seats, preventing KCR from achieving a historic third term. Despite contesting from two seats, KCR emerged victorious in Gajwel but faced defeat in Kamareddy.
