Two additional individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder described as a ‘hate crime’ that occurred in Gurugram

In Gurugram, police have arrested two more individuals in connection with the alleged hate-crime murder of 27-year-old Kuldeep Yaduvanshi. The victim, from a scheduled caste community, was killed for allegedly pursuing a relationship with a 17-year-old girl from the Gujjar community.

The additional arrests were made on Wednesday, with the suspects being identified as a 30-year-old and a 23-year-old, both from Sanp Ki Nangli village in Sohna. This brings the total number of arrests in the case to three, including a 22-year-old cousin of the girl who was apprehended on Tuesday.

The arrested men are accused of conspiring to murder Yaduvanshi, who was found dead behind a private university in Sohna around 2 a.m. on Tuesday. According to police, Yaduvanshi was abducted from outside a private school, where he worked as an autorickshaw driver, on Monday. He was allegedly beaten to death after being tied up.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Siddhant Jain indicated that the suspects are the primary conspirators and that further arrests could follow if they reveal the involvement of additional family members or associates. The investigation also includes efforts to recover the vehicle used in the abduction, the murder weapons, and the victim’s phone.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Abhilaksh Joshi detailed that Yaduvanshi was brutally assaulted at a secluded location before his body was discarded. An autopsy revealed extensive internal injuries resulting from the assault.
