When Srimantha fell unconscious, she used a heavy boulder nearby to smash his face, ensuring he wouldn’t survive. After committing the heinous act, the woman discarded the boulder in a nearby well. To cover up the crime, she went to extreme lengths, chopping her husband’s body into pieces for easier disposal.
Authorities discovered Srimantha Itnali’s remains on December 10 and initially had no suspicions about his wife. However, as the investigation progressed, inconsistencies in her statements led to her being called in for further questioning. Despite initially denying any involvement, she later admitted to the brutal murder, detailing her actions and motives.
