After Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest, Pawan Kalyan is in police custody.

On Sunday, a police official said that the Andhra Pradesh Police in NTR district took Pawan Kalyan, the president of Jana Sena Party and Nadendal Manohar, the senior of the same party into preventive charge. He added that no case has been filed against them but they are going to move them to Vijayawada.

Mr Kalyan reacted to the arrest of the former Chief minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, the chief of Telugu Desam Party and criticized this arrest. He also headed towards Vijayawada in support of the chief of TDP.

After all, the police made sure that Mr Kalyan didn’t take off through his special flight from Hyderabad to Vijayawada but asked him to take the road ways. Apart from that, on Saturday, his group of vehicles were clogged twice in the NTR district compelling Kalyan to get down from his vehicle and take a walk through Mangalagiri in Vijayawada.

On the way towards Mangalagiri in Vijayawada, Mr Kalyan laid on the road for being blocked and forced the police to take him into preventive custody at Anumanchipalli or else he would not get up. Hence the police took them into preventive custody.

Janardhan Naidu, the Sub- Divisional Police Officer of Nandigama told the Press Trust of India “We have taken hold of Mr Kalyan and Mr Manohar into preventive custody, no case is filed against them but we will be shifting them to Vijayawada.”

“As it is a preventive custody, they’ll not be summoned in front of the judges,” he added.
