BRS Gears Up for Massive Silver Jubilee Celebrations at Elkathurthy as KCR Returns to Public Stage
Telangana is gearing up for a historic moment as the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) prepares to celebrate its grand silver jubilee with an impressive public meeting on April 27 at Elkathurthy in Hanamkonda district. The BRS, which has played a pivotal role in the formation of Telangana state and ruled it for two consecutive terms, is leaving no stone unturned to make this event a landmark in its journey. This meeting will also mark the much-anticipated return of BRS supremo and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to the public stage after a considerable gap, making it a significant occasion not only for party members but also for the political landscape of Telangana.
The party has secured a massive 1,213 acres of land for the celebrations, demonstrating the scale and importance of the event. Out of this, 154 acres have been dedicated to the construction of the main stage, which is specially designed to accommodate 500 dignitaries, ensuring a grand and seamless experience for key leaders and special guests. Additionally, an extensive 1,059 acres has been allocated purely for parking, aiming to manage the expected huge turnout efficiently and avoid any logistical chaos.
In preparation for the massive gathering, the BRS has made comprehensive arrangements to cater to the needs of the public. The party has organized 10 lakh water bottles and an impressive 16 lakh buttermilk packets to keep the attendees hydrated and comfortable in the summer heat. Six ambulances have been strategically deployed across different routes leading to the venue to ensure immediate medical assistance if required, emphasizing the organizers’ commitment to the health and safety of the participants. To further ensure public convenience, 1,200 temporary toilets have been installed, highlighting the meticulous planning that has gone into making the event a success.
Around 2,000 dedicated volunteers have been roped in to manage parking zones and assist attendees with directions and basic needs, aiming to provide a smooth and organized experience for everyone attending the celebrations. The volunteers will play a crucial role in crowd management and ensuring that the event proceeds without any hiccups.
Founded in 2001 with the noble mission of achieving a separate Telangana state, the BRS has come a long way, shaping the destiny of Telangana and leaving a lasting impact on its development. Although the party lost power in the 2023 Assembly elections, it remains a significant force in Telangana politics. The silver jubilee celebrations are not just a reflection of the BRS’s journey but also a reaffirmation of its enduring connection with the people of Telangana.
