Farmers protest enters day 25.
Farmers decided to block the Ghazipur border.
The Gazipur border connects Uttar Pradesh and the National Capital. Protests for the three new agricultural laws by farmers have gained support from several political parties. Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji said the opposition parties are using farmers’ protest and misleading them. He accused them for using their own agenda. The major concern arises about the minimum support price (MSP) after the passing of new agricultural laws. Despite the Assurance given by the Government of India to the farmers regarding the minimum support price (MSP), several warnings to intensify the protests were given. Nonetheless Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji has given assurance to farmers across India that the minimum support price (MSP) will remain. He says it is a biggest lie ever that telling the minimum support price (MSP) will end after introducing the three new farm laws. The three agricultural laws have been passed for the benefit of farmers. Through this it helps the farmer to cut down middlemen. The agricultural laws make the Kisaan decide the price of his product which will help them reach more. Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji also said if anyone is concerned about anything they are glad to look into it and allay their fears, while addressing the gathering of farmers on Friday in Madhya Pradesh.
There were several deaths reported during the protecting period . Farmers gathered for protesting against the Government for passing the three new agricultural laws through blocking Highways. As the weather drops, it does get intolerantly cold and for those protesting on the borders it obviously might have been difficult during the night time. The agitating farmers were exposed to the extreme weather conditions and the reason for Death was mostly due to the cold wave. Nearly 20 protestors lost their lives during the strikes, most of them due to Heart Attack and falling ill while protesting. Some of them were reported by truck accidents.
Medical teams were sent from Punjab to aid the farmers if any necessity arose.
Several volunteers provided tea and other snacks to the protestors. They also supported and joined their hands with the protestors against the three farm laws.
The protest has now entered its 25th day. Today ,on 28th of December 2020 (Sunday ) Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji visited Gurudwara Rakab Ganj. Hepaid tribute to Guru Teg Bahadur on his surprise visit .He also mentioned he felt extremely blessed.
