Education department of Maharashtra releases question banks for class 10th and 12th students.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has scheduled SSC and HSC (class 10th and 12th) board exams, which are to be held between the month of April to May this year. In order to help the students to prepare for the upcoming board exams the Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training has released subject-wise question banks this week. The question banks are available for download on their official website, (website maa.ac.in.). For SSC (Class 10) they have released question banks of the following subjects: English, History and Geography while for HSC (Class 12) Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, History question bank was released.  The state had mentioned that very soon they would release materials for remaining subjects too. State education minister Varsha Gaikwad had also tweeted that “AS and when they are created, question banks will be uploaded on the official website”. 

 As the board examinations are ahead the government decided to release the question bank as the students are struggling due to the pandemic and its effects . According to the reports examinations for the year will be conducted between April 23rd  to May 29th for HSC (Class 12) and between April 29th to May 31st for SSC (Class 10) while around 56% of people are against the decision of MSBSHSE planning to conduct Maharashtra  board exam of this academic year. For the past few days the parents had been requesting an online board exam. 

As per the reports, recently, officials had a meeting with the representatives of schools along with some parents seeking for  the suggestions to conduct board exams. One of the suggestions was to allot the student’s school as a centre and also they had mentioned about giving a time gap between two papers etc.
