Jani Master’s Wife Seeks Proof Following His Arrest

Ayesha, the wife of renowned Telugu choreographer Shaik Jani Basha, also known as Jani Master, has spoken out regarding the serious sexual abuse allegations against her husband. In an interview with TV9, she strongly denied the claims and maintained that Jani Master has never assaulted any woman throughout his career. Ayesha further stated that she would reconsider her marriage only if compelling evidence against him surfaced.

Ayesha questioned the timing of the allegations, pointing out that the complaint was filed six years after the alleged incidents took place. She expressed concern over the claim that the complainant had been harassed at the age of 16, describing it as “false and deeply troubling.” She added, “If she can provide proof, I will leave Master.”

She also emphasized the strength of her relationship with Jani Master, saying, “We’ve been married for 14 years and have no children. I know him well, and the character described in these allegations does not match his.”

Ayesha raised doubts about the complainant’s previous statements, noting that the woman had once publicly thanked Jani Master for helping advance her career. “If she truly felt abused, why didn’t she come forward earlier? Why wait until now to make this complaint?” she asked.

Jani Master, a National Award-winning choreographer, was arrested by the Cyberabad Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Goa on September 19 and subsequently transferred to Hyderabad. The complainant, who is now 21 years old, has accused him of repeated assaults over a six-year period during various film shoots. The police have added charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, as the alleged abuse began when the woman was a minor. She has been provided with police protection following her detailed 40-page statement outlining the alleged abuse.

As of now, Jani Master has not released any official statement regarding the allegations or the ongoing investigation.
