All About Turmeric.

Turmeric is used in our day to day life but how many of us actually know how important and beneficial it is?

Turmeric is used in our daily cooking, it’s used as an ingredient in beauty products, Ointments,etc. It is used in treating medical conditions like swelling,rashes, redness. Turmeric is an anti inflammatory substance which means it reduces inflammation. Remember the days when our mothers used to mix a pinch of turmeric in milk and give us? Yes, Common viral infections like cough,cold etc can be cured by intake of turmeric.

Medical researchers say that Turmeric and Curcumin (a pigment isolated from turmeric plants) have the ability to cure various health conditions in humans.

Turmeric was used as a cure for bacterial infection. It was also a cure for digestive issues for many years. Turmeric is used in cosmetics as well because of it’s amazing power to bring back natural glow by reducing dark patches on the skin. Aging factor can be taken care with turmeric.

Heart diseases, One out of four deaths in India is due to heart diseases as estimated. There are various reasons one can have heart disease,One of which is not proper regulation of blood.

Curcumin is found in the root of turmeric plants which is widely used for medical purposes. It helps in curing heart diseases. The lining of blood vessels known as endothelium can be improved. Proper regulation of blood and healthy living can be achieved by taking a small amount of turmeric in our food. It is used as one of the spices in Asian dishes.

Curcumin can cure joint Arthritis, Alzheimers. It helps improve the functioning of the brain and Lower the risk of heart attacks. Cancer being a terrible disease can also be cured with Curcumin. 

Our ancestors have been using turmeric for thousands of years .  Spices and for medical purposes. It’s medical properties have stunned the scientists and we in this 21st century are using it with or without our knowledge.
