Premanand Maharaj Disciple Deepak Lodhi Private Part Cut Mystery In Vrindavan Death Case Probe
A quiet morning in the holy town of Vrindavan turned into a scene of complete shock when fellow devotees discovered a young monk bleeding heavily on the street outside their residential building. The young man, known among the followers as Rasik Dulari Sharan, was a close disciple of the well-known spiritual teacher Saint Premanand Maharaj. Before his sudden fall from the fourth floor of the residential building, he had suffered horrific physical injuries inside his room. The entire incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, leaving local people, visitors, and devotees looking for answers to understand how such a tragic event could take place.
The young monk was originally named Deepak Lodhi, a twenty-five-year-old native of Farhaduli in the Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Around two years before this incident, Deepak had made a life-changing decision to leave his hometown and dedicate himself entirely to spiritual service in Vrindavan. After receiving spiritual initiation from Premanand Maharaj, he adopted the spiritual name Rasik Dulari Sharan. He was staying in Guru Kripa Kunj, a four-storey apartment building situated in the Radha Vatika lane near the Shri Radha Keli Kunj ashram. Inside the building, he shared living space with other disciples who performed daily ashram duties, including technical and electrical maintenance work.
Events took a dark turn on twenty-five September when daily routines were shattered around half-past ten in the morning. Investigators and building records show that Deepak was inside his living quarters on the fourth floor when his private part was severed using an electric tile-cutting grinder machine found at the scene. The horrific injury resulted in sudden and severe loss of blood. Instead of seeking immediate help inside the room, the young man walked out into the corridor, climbed the steps to the terrace, spent several minutes there, and then leaped from the edge of the roof, crashing down onto the street below.
Devotees who were present on the ground floor rushed to the spot the moment they heard the loud thud. Seeing his critical condition and heavy bleeding, they quickly arranged transport and moved him to Sarvodaya Hospital, located along the national highway. Medical teams in the emergency ward immediately took charge of the patient and shifted him directly to the Intensive Care Unit. The doctors found him fighting for his life, struggling with multiple severe injuries caused by both the cutting machine and the heavy impact of the fall from the high rooftop.
The medical team at Sarvodaya Hospital worked continuously for about ninety minutes to stabilize his condition. Their first immediate goal was to stop the massive bleeding coming from his severed private part. Specialist surgeons applied five surgical stitches to close the open wound in his groin. At the same time, another team worked on a deep wound on the left side of his head, placing fourteen stitches to close the torn skin and scalp tissue. Medical staff also treated his broken left ankle, but despite working without a pause for an hour and a half, the doctors could not restore his vital signs. Deepak was declared dead due to excessive loss of blood and major trauma.
Following his death, authorities moved the body for a formal legal post-mortem examination. A two-doctor medical panel, comprising Dr Anurag Gupta and Dr Devendra Kushwaha, conducted the autopsy procedure, which lasted around forty minutes. The final autopsy report revealed that the direct cause of death was severe head injury and massive internal bleeding inside the brain. The impact of landing on the hard ground broke his skull bones and formed a large blood clot inside his brain cavity, causing his neurological system to shut down rapidly.
The post-mortem examination also discovered deep internal damage throughout his chest. The force of the drop broke four ribs on the left side of his chest. These broken bones were pushed inward and punctured his lung, tearing the respiratory organ and filling the chest cavity with blood. In addition to recording these structural fractures, the examining doctors took extra precautions by preparing medical slides and collecting viscera samples. These samples were sent for advanced laboratory tests to check for toxic substances and to investigate whether any unnatural acts had occurred prior to the tragedy.
Security camera footage recovered from Guru Kripa Kunj and the surrounding street has provided investigators with a minute-by-minute timeline of the young disciple’s last moments. The footage recorded his movements over an eleven-minute window, beginning from the time he left his room with blood-stained clothes. The cameras tracked him moving up the staircase to the rooftop, walking along the terrace wall, pausing on the roof, and finally jumping down to the road. This recorded sequence has confirmed his actions before the jump, helping police rule out any direct physical struggle on the roof itself.
Despite the visual evidence showing his actions on the roof, the core question troubling both investigators and family members is whether the horrific groin injury was an act of extreme self-harm or if external force or pressure was involved inside the room. Officers from the local police station have questioned other disciples who lived in the same apartment block, as well as ashram workers who handled maintenance with Deepak. The electrical grinder machine used in the room was seized as key physical evidence. Forensic experts are working on his mobile phone records to recover deleted messages, calls, and digital notes that might shed light on his mental condition or any personal distress he was facing.
Deepak’s family members in Madhya Pradesh were deeply shaken upon receiving the news of his death. Relatives described him as a simple, focused young man who had excelled in his studies and once aimed for a professional career before turning to spiritual devotion. The family expressed great sorrow and raised concerns regarding his isolation and lack of regular communication over the past two years. They have appealed to senior administrative and police officials for a full, transparent inquiry into the complete set of circumstances that led to his fatal step.
Meanwhile, representatives and long-time followers of Premanand Maharaj have appealed for patience while the police complete their investigation. They pointed out that Guru Kripa Kunj functions as a living space for support volunteers, located away from the primary ashram headquarters where daily spiritual gatherings take place. Followers stated that Deepak’s death is a deeply painful personal tragedy and cautioned against spreading unverified rumors while official forensic and medical reports are being finalized. The police administration has stated that all angles, including psychological stress, personal relationships, and religious asceticism, remain under active review.
