The thirteen cities in India to get 5G network in 2022

India’s most awaited network , 5G, is finally going to be launched in 2022 in thirteen cities of India. The 5G network is set to be rolled out in selected cities of India this year, the news was as per the department of telecom. Telecom service providers Bharathi airtel, reliance jio, and Vodafone idea had been setting up 5G trials sites in some cities across the country. In the respective cities 5G network will be the first launched in 2022. In late September 2021, DoT had sent the reference to the industry regulator Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. This seeks recommendations for the auction of spectrum identified for international mobile telecommunications or 5G concerning a price, model, band plan, block size, the quantum of spectrum to be auctioned, and associated conditions for auction of spectrum in 526-698 GHz, 700MHz, 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz, 2300MHz & 3300-3670MHz bands for IMT/5G.

This 5G mainly works in 3 bands – low, mid, and high-frequency spectrum.
Higher band – the speed is limited to 1000Mbps
Mid band – spectrum offers higher speeds when compared to the low band but has limitations in regards to coverage area and penetration of signals. In the higher band spectrum, the speed of the internet goes up to 20 Gbps. The highest internet speed in 4G had been recorded at 1 Gbps.
So which are those cities that are going to enjoy the 5G network this year? –
● Delhi
● Lucknow & Chandigarh
● Gurugram
● Bangalore
● Kolkata
● Mumbai
● Ahmedabad & Jamnagar
● Hyderabad & Chennai
● Pune
The above-mentioned cities were going to enjoy a 5G network by the end of the 2022 year. The news was stated by the department of telecom services. Finally we can say that these cities of India are very fortunate and they are stepping into a new revolution of using the network. India is going to be very popular in future years and will be termed as a technological city and will be hyped globally.
