        Bengaluru is the capital city of Karnataka. The City has several names such as Silicon Valley of India, Garden City,Pensioner’s Paradise.It is the center of India’s high- tech industry.

  • Bangalore Palace.

Bangalore Palace is a royal palace built in the year 1878. It was first owned by Rev. J. Garrett. The palace has an area of 45,000 square feet, and grounds of 454 acres. The palace features mainly wooden interiors and is surrounded by gardens.A mixture of Tudor and Scottish Gothic architecture have resulted into the grand palace that we see today. The palace grounds are a popular venue for rock concerts and other music events. The interior walls of the palace are adorned by old paintings belonging to the 19th century, including some greek and Dutch paintings.

  • National Gallery of Modern Art.

 

The national gallery of modern art is set up in the premises of Manikyavelu mansion at 49 palace road, Bangalore. It was started on 18th February,2009.The gracious heritage building is spread over the area of 3.5 acres. It was transformed from a residence into an art gallery. The collection of National Gallery mainly comprises paintings, sculptures, graphic prints and early photography in India  which showcased the historical development of modern art in India. The gallery is a  place to devour the tranquility of art. It is equipped with an auditorium,a public art reference library, a cafeteria and a museum shop.

  • Tipu Sultan’s Palace and Fort.

Tipu Sultan’s Palace in Bangalore is an example of Indo- Islamic architecture. It was the residence of the Mysore ruler Tipu Sultan. A small part of the fort is converted into a museum showcasing various events of  the life and times of Tipu Sultan.It was completed in the year 1791. It has lush green gardens,flowering shrubs, and sparkling fountains.

  • Lalbagh Botanical Garden.

Lalbagh Botanical Garden is an old botanical garden in Bangalore. Flower shows are conducted every year during the week of Republic day and Independence day to educate people about the variety of flora and develop public interest in plant conservation and cultivation.There is a bonsai garden,topiary garden,rose garden and lotus garden inside Lalbagh.

  • Cubbon Park.

Cubbon park, officially called Sri Chamarajendra Park.It is spread over an area of 100 acres.It has an abundant flora and fauna plantations.It is a green belt  region of the city and is an ideal place for nature lovers and those seeking a calm atmosphere. It is a home for 6,000 trees. Cubbon park museum and Seshadri Iyer Memorial Park are situated here.

  • Bannerghatta Biological Park.

Bannerghatta Biological Park was founded in 1970 and declared as a national park in 1974. Spread over the area of 104.27 sq.km.  It is a popular  tourist destination with a zoo, pet corner, butterfly park, aquarium, snake house and safari park.one hundred and one species of birds have been recorded in the park.
