On 24 July 2026, leading automaker Maruti Suzuki officially introduced the 2026 Brezza facelift in India, setting a starting price of 7.40 lakh rupees ex-showroom. The popular compact crossover SUV receives a significant mid-cycle update that blends revised exterior styling with major mechanical enhancements and interior feature upgrades. The design evolution introduces a refreshed front grille with gold accents, revised front bumpers housing triangular fog lamp surrounds, and redesigned 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Exterior updates also feature new door cladding, while signature twin-pod LED headlights and taillights remain intact across the lineup. Two vibrant new shades, Vivacious Orange and Lustrous Beige, expand the exterior palette alongside classic dual-tone combinations.

The primary mechanical highlight of the updated SUV centers on the addition of a powerful 1.0-litre direct-injection Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine. Delivering 108 BHP and 170 Nm of torque, this high-performance engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox to offer enhanced driving dynamics. Maruti Suzuki also continues offering the proven 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol powertrain with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. For eco-conscious buyers, the factory-fitted CNG variant receives a major functional upgrade with underbody-mounted CNG tanks, effectively freeing up boot space for luggage without compromising safety or storage capability.

Inside the cabin, the updated model features a refined black and brown color scheme complete with gloss black trim accents and enhanced seating comfort. The dash centerpiece includes a larger 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system accompanied by updated climate control modules borrowed from higher-tier brand offerings. Premium comfort additions highlight ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, an integrated air purifier, an electric sunroof, and a wireless charging pad featuring active cooling technology. On the safety front, the vehicle offers advanced driver protection features including a 360-degree camera system, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, safe exit warning, and tire pressure monitoring.

The launch of the updated model positions the vehicle aggressively against strong competitors in the compact SUV market including the Tata Punch, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, and Kia Sonet. By addressing long-standing consumer feedback regarding boot space in CNG models and providing a punchier turbo engine option, Maruti Suzuki strengthens its market presence. Moving from purely functional commuter features to premium tech offerings ensures the SUV meets the rising expectations of modern urban car buyers while maintaining accessible pricing across diverse buyer segments.
