70 Paper Leaks In 7 Years Under BJP Rule NEET 2026 Cancelled Only Elections Succeed Not Exams Or Jobs

The education and recruitment system in India has hit a historic low following the official cancellation of the NEET UG 2026 medical entrance examination. This drastic decision taken on May 12 2026 comes after investigators found undeniable proof that the paper was stolen and sold to candidates for massive sums. For the 23 lakh students who prepared for years this is a devastating betrayal of trust. The figure of 70 paper leaks in 7 years has become a symbol of a broken system that can successfully organize massive multi phase elections but fails to protect a single question paper. From the SSC CGL scandals to the recent failures in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh the pattern under the current administration shows that the security of student futures is not a priority. While the government remains in election mode the middle class family sees their hard earned savings wasted on exams that are never completed fairly.

Examining the history of NEET over the past ten years reveals a timeline of constant corruption and poor management. Starting with the 2015 AIPMT leak where the Supreme Court had to step in the transition to the National Testing Agency was supposed to stop these crimes. However the last decade has seen a rise in organized gangs using proxy candidates and hi tech cheating methods across Rajasthan Gujarat and Haryana. The 2026 crisis is the worst yet with a printing press in Nashik being identified as the source of a breach that leaked 120 questions. When the most important medical exam in the country is available for twenty lakh rupees on WhatsApp the entire concept of merit is destroyed. This creates a dangerous future where those who can afford to buy a paper become doctors while the brilliant and hardworking students are left behind in the dust.

The response from the authorities has made the situation even more painful for the youth. In several BJP governed states students who gathered to protest these leaks were met with brutal police lathicharges rather than solutions. Images of police officers beating students in cities like Lucknow and Jaipur have sparked national outrage. These young people are not criminals they are aspirants asking for their right to a fair job and a secure future. It is a deep injustice that while the students are beaten and harassed on the streets the actual kingpins of the paper leak mafia often secure bail and continue their business. The legal and administrative system appears to act with lightning speed to silence protesters but moves at a snails pace to punish the wealthy criminals who steal the papers.

This ongoing crisis suggests a total collapse of accountability within the institutions meant to serve the public. If the state can ensure every vote is counted and every election booth is safe there is no logical reason why it cannot apply the same security to a question paper. The recurring failures of the NTA and the lack of resignations at the top levels show a government that is more concerned with winning polls than fixing the lives of the youth. To hear slogans of Jai Jai Modi while millions of students sit at home waiting for a re exam is a mockery of their struggle. The youth are tired of laws on paper and demand a system where their hard work is protected from the greed of a few. Without a complete cleanup of the testing agencies and fast track justice for leakers the credibility of the Indian education system will be lost forever.
