In a tragic incident at a pharmaceutical company’s factory in Barnala, Punjab, one individual lost his life while three others sustained injuries following a gas leak. The company, in an official exchange filing on Monday, confirmed that the gas leak incident happened on Sunday, 27th April 2025, at their facility located in Village Fatehgarh Channa, on Mansa Road, Barnala district.

According to the company’s statement, the gas leak was contained within a single reactor unit in one of their plants and was swiftly controlled by their emergency response teams. Despite the rapid containment efforts, four individuals were affected and were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment. Sadly, one of the injured succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical care, marking a grievous loss for the company and the local community. The company expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and assured that they are fully committed to providing comprehensive support, including the best possible medical care to the injured individuals.
