In a disturbing incident in the Agar Naka area of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, a scrap collector was allegedly raped by a man who forced her to drink alcohol before the assault. The attack occurred on Wednesday and was recorded by passersby, who chose to film the incident rather than intervene.
According to City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Om Prakash Mishra, the accused, identified as Lokesh, had promised to marry the victim. After making her consume alcohol, he proceeded to rape her. Following the assault, Lokesh fled the scene. The woman, whose condition improved after the effects of the alcohol wore off, subsequently filed a complaint with the authorities. Lokesh was arrested shortly after the complaint was made. The case has drawn significant attention due to the viral video of the attack, highlighting the disturbing behavior of the bystanders and the gravity of the crime.
